Kampung Pukat, Sandakan, a village that was borned when British North Borneo introduced the immigration scheme for the “Tanka” people who migrated from Hong Kong. This village consists of many cultural heritage however it does not obtain sufficient attention. The purpose of this project is to revitalize this water village and revive their cultural heritage. Cultural village will be proposed in this project in order to emphasize the communities, tradition and culture of the Tanka People as well as create exposure and working opportunities for the villagers. Floating market activities are being proposed as it contributes and reflects the authenticity and cultural elements of the water village.
