Tan Sri Datuk Ir. Prof Chin Fung Kee Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: RM6,000 per annum

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Open to all Malaysian citizens.
  2. Applicants must be enrolled in or eligible to enter an approved university or other approved local centers of higher learning, excluding UM (as per the 125th Education Fund Meeting).
  3. Applicants must be pursuing or planning to pursue a course of study in any branch of the engineering professions accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
  4. Applicants should not be holding another scholarship except PTPTN.
  5. STPM holders must have achieved five principles and obtained more than 70 units or equivalent.
  6. STPM leavers must have been placed by the Unit Pusat Universiti into the specified courses at UPM.
  7. Applicants should have been actively involved in extracurricular activities during their previous studies at school or other institutions.

 

Payment:

  • The scholarship payment is made yearly on the condition that recipients submit their result slips.

 

Terms:

  1. The scholarship is primarily for students who need financial assistance.
  2. Academic results are considered secondary.
  3. Only applicants whose parents’ income is below RM6,000 will be considered.
