Job Purpose and Impact

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineer to support and enhance our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, safety, and operational efficiency. You will provide technical support, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support project management activities within the operational domain.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring process stability, risk mitigation, cost management, and compliance with environmental and safety standards. Your role is essential in helping the operational area achieve both variable and fixed cost targets while upholding our organizational values and responsibilities.


Key Accountabilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to develop improvement recommendations and ensure consistent process monitoring and early warning indicators.

  • Assist in planning and scheduling plant maintenance using reliability models and predictive technologies in collaboration with maintenance leadership.

  • Monitor and manage variable and fixed operational costs in partnership with technology and finance teams.

  • Support planning and execution of production shutdowns, ensuring compliance with legal and preventive maintenance requirements.

  • Assist process engineers in evaluating capital expenditures and project designs, identifying efficient and cost-effective solutions that promote high-quality outcomes.

  • Act as a point of contact for third-party personnel, helping set priorities, monitor safety performance, and enhance their skills.

  • Collaborate with staff across departments and business units to benchmark best practices and support strategic development.

  • Resolve basic operational issues under supervision and escalate more complex matters to relevant personnel.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.

  • Preferably 1–2 years of experience in palm oil and fractionation operations.

  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience or certification in continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of operating systems used to build custom engineering solutions that meet unique customer requirements.

  • Experience coordinating or supervising industrial contractors, maintenance teams, or field personnel.

  • Project management experience from previous roles.

  • Minimum of one year of related work experience.

  • Familiarity with Green Belt, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies (added advantage).

Prior Beneficial Experience

  • Performing routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

  • Executing and monitoring production shutdown processes in compliance with legal and preventive maintenance standards.
