Programme Aims:

The Master of Engineering (Electrical) programme aims to cater for:

1. The candidates from the industry who are keen in continuous learning and advanced their knowledge in the field of electrical engineering to deal with complex engineering problems.
2. Fresh graduates who wish to obtain an in-depth knowledge and capabilities in the field of electrical engineering, thereby having better career prospects in electrical engineering.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO):

This programme enriches the students’ knowledge and experience in advanced electrical engineering through the following programme objectives:

1. The graduates will engage in advanced technology research and  development for the advancement of knowledge and solving complex
engineering problems.
2. The graduates will assume technical, managerial and ethical leadership roles with commanding oral and written communication skills.
3. The graduates will involve in the affairs of professional institutions and keep abreast of the nation’s needs and developments, and provide
services to the engineering communities and the nation.

Programme Learning Outcome (PLO):

PLO 1 – Establish mastery of literary competencies in relation to Electrical Engineering profession.
PLO 2 – Undertake independent research and implementation of Electrical Engineering projects.
PLO 3 – Demonstrate commitment to professional ethics in engineering work to achieve high level of governance with full regard to public interests.
PLO 4 – Lead, communicate and coordinate effectively in multi-disciplinary settings.
PLO 5 – Foster high standard of professionalism through continuous learning, applying, evaluating and refining processes in engineering practices.
