Programme Aims:

The Master of Architecture programme aims to produce graduates with holistic design skills and professional competency to provide Architectural services to the needs and development of the professions and society, as listed below, which forms the three pillars of the programme educational objectives.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO):

The Master of Architecture programme aims to cater for:

PEO 1 – Graduates practicing advanced architecture knowledge, critical thinking and development through interdisciplinary learning in creative and innovative manner.
PEO 2 – Graduates demonstrating strong communication and effective management in multidisciplinary Architectural professions.
PEO 3 – Graduates continuously keep upholding professional ethics, life long learning and sustainable development for the betterment of the profession and society.


Programme Learning Outcome (PLO):


PLO 1 – Establish mastery of professional and technical skills creatively and innovatively by applying appropriate graphic, model and communication tools to produce architectural design of appropriate complexity and scale.
PLO 2 – Demonstrate the essential skills in applying scholarly and professional knowledge of architectural principles, culture and social,
construction technology, environment, urban design and planning principle in relation to architecture.
PLO 3 – Demonstrate understanding of architectural practice, the architect’s role and responsibility within the framework of the building
industry.
PLO 4 – Recognize code of ethics in the practice of architecture and the impact of architectural works upon society, culture, economy and
environment.
PLO 5 – Produce architecture solution that comply with regulatory authorities’ requirements and demonstrate professional integrity and
responsibility to the built environment and public.
PLO 6 – Communicate and demonstrate understanding of inputs of other allied professions in a project team within the building industry.
PLO 7 – Identify problems, evaluate the situations, formulate appropriate design brief, develop and implement appropriate solutions
supported by analytical skills that comply with design objectives.
PLO 8 – Foster acceptable standards of professional skills through continuous learning with various appropriate digital software within the architecture profession.
