The advancement of IR4.0 has changed the way of how we seek and consume information. The decline of public library usage in recent years shows that the current design model of library in Malaysia is not adapting to the changes and needs of the current society. Thus, it raises the question of how the next generation of library design can transcend itself on its socio-cultural roles as a hub for exchange of knowledge and social interaction.
