The Hack2Hire is an annual event organised by Dream Catcher Sdn Bhd in partnership with industry, government and academia. The main purpose of this event is to gather talent from the field of IT and present to the industry in a competitive form for industry to quickly identify talent through a hands-on approach compared to the traditional interview-based approach. This was a two-day event where students went through a 32-hour nonstop hack session.

Mini Hack Winner under Java Category: Frango Liew Yao Jun
1st Runner up with a cash price of RM1200: Team Sony from UTAR (Chow Zi Xuan, Wong Jia Hau, Chin Chee Khong)
One of the UTAR students participating, Sheh Chun Ming, received an immediate job offer from Continental.
