It was a big harvest for UTAR Team at the 27th Annual PAM Architecture Students Workshop held from 20 to 24 October 2015 at Limkokwing University. UTAR Architecture students had proven themselves once again, by winning 4 prizes out of 6 competing categories, namely
- Champion (The Portal 3D Model Expression)
- 1st Runner-up (Aftermath – Video production)
- Honorary Mention (Stage performance)
- Honorary Mention (Photography)
This is UTAR’s third year participating at the annual event. The event saw 27 students from Department of Architecture & Sustainable Design (DASD), Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering & Science (LKC FES) competing with participants from 20 other universities. Students sacrificed two weeks of their term break in intensive preparations. They were guided by DASD staff and two professional volunteers – acclaimed stage actress, Ms. Pearly Chua (from Emily of Emerald Hills) and dancer, Ms. Tan Bee Hung.
Students showed high enthusiasm and admirable team work, and throughout the process, they also enjoyed the spirit of camaraderie and interactions with participants from other universities. Thanks to DASD staff Abd Muluk Abd Manan (Lead lecturer), Rahim Md Zin, Jeremy Tew and Sebastian Yeow for their input; and participating students and helpers who made this successful.
