IEEE USM Student Branch which is under School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in collaboration with StartupMalaysia.org and Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM), will be organising a University App Challenge event which is initiated by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in Universiti Sains Malaysia. This University App Challenge is a 2 days bootcamp and a competition where participants have to pitch idea/solutions for specific problems and develop an apps to solve the problems.
The details of the event are as follows:
Date: 18 Februrary 2017 ~ 19 February 2017
Time: 9.00 AM ~ 6.00 PM
Venue: Dewan Peperiksaan A, Dewan Utama Pelajar (DUP), USM Main Campus
Eligibility: 18 – 25 years old
The main purpose of this event is to sensitize all university students to create apps for solving real life problem and to fulfil the vision to identify, educate, and produce more Malaysian app developers and entrepreneurs set by our honourable Prime Minister. It is also to enable university students to get exposed to educational programs for entrepreneurs and youth aspiring to be entrepreneurs in order to know and learn a practical perspective on the world of work as a programmer.
